I discovered this wonderful website whilst investigating freight movements through Essendine and beyond. The photography and detail are excellent and have confirmed my ‘memories’ of days spent transporting at Essendine. My friends and I used to cycle from Stamford to ‘Esso’ for a day’s spotting in the late1950s/early1960s.
